The Sandlot...Interesting Facts




Mrs. McFadyen did some research after our "Sandlot" discussion on Monday. Apparently, Mr. Mertle wasn't Hank Aaron. But in Benny's dream, Babe Ruth took Hank Aaron's baseball card. Hank Aaron eventually went on to break Babe Ruth's all-time home-run record.

So who was Mr. Mertle? The photo he showed the boys was one that was photoshopped. The actor's face was put on the body of Jimmie Foxx, another Hall of Fame baseball player who played with Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig.

    Yay! Baseball players!! :D Okay, now this blog needs some serious updating to it. Haha. I'll take over the blogging if you want but I already have a website lolz. Okay so when ever this gets updated again I will have to throw a party because it's epic
